Is this niche already full?
Choose the tags that describe your game. The niche radar compares
review activity with the number of games in each eligible combination of two, three
or four tags. It uses median review counts to reduce the influence of unusually
successful titles.
A high score highlights a niche to investigate. It does not establish demand for
a new game or explain why relatively few games serve that niche.
What does a game like mine actually earn?
Open a comparable title to see its estimated gross revenue range and the method behind
it. Where historical data is available, the estimate accounts for price changes
over time. The similar-games list helps you compare titles with overlapping tags,
review counts and revenue estimates.
Who am I up against?
See who developed comparable games and how many titles they have released.
Studio profiles bring together their portfolio, estimated
catalogue revenue and the share of games reaching the review threshold. Portfolio
size provides context; it does not tell you a studio's team size or budget.
What is a realistic price?
Explore tag statistics to compare median prices and review counts.
The review threshold rate shows what share of games reach the specified number
of reviews. Use it alongside comparable titles when assessing your market.
Did the launch work?
Track recorded prices, reviews, positive review share, followers and player counts
over time. The last 90 days of available history are free;
paid plans unlock the full recorded history. Coverage and
update frequency vary by game and metric.

Questions this site answers
How do I find out if my game idea is in a crowded niche on Steam?
Look up the tag combination your game leads with on the steamlense niche radar. It ranks eligible combinations of two, three or four tags by median review activity relative to the number of games. A high score highlights a niche to investigate; it does not predict the success of a new game.
How much money does the average Steam game in a genre make?
steamlense publishes a median revenue estimate per tag and per tag combination, derived from review counts, available price history and SteamSpy owner ranges. The median describes the middle game in the group and reduces the influence of unusually successful titles. These are gross revenue estimates, not sales reports.
Which games are the closest competitors to mine on Steam?
Open any game page on steamlense. Under "Similar games that found an audience" it lists titles sharing the same leading tags, marks which tags each one has and lacks compared to yours, and shows what they earn, how many reviews they have and how many games the developer has released.
Is steamlense free for developers?
The game database, game filters, search, tag statistics, curated lists and the last 90 days of available history are free without an account. Paid plans add unlimited history, the full niche radar with every combination named, CSV export and a larger API quota.
